WORCESTER Warriors' Chris Pennell will make his 250th appearance on Saturday when Worcester travel to Welford Road to face Leicester Tigers in Saturday’s Gallagher Premiership fixture (kick-off 3.00pm).

Pennell is now second on the list of most appearances in a Warriors' shirt, still a few behind Craig Gillies who made 288 appearances between 2002 and 2013.

'Pens' made his debut against Bath in 2007 and the highlights of his illustrious career include being capped by England on the tour of New Zealand in 2014 and scoring two tries in the dramatic victory over Bristol Bears in the 2015 Championship final second leg.

The fans' favourite will have the honour of leading out his side at Leicester in a team that will be captained on the day by Matt Kvesic.

The likes of captain Ted Hill, scrum-half Francois Hougaard, loosehead prop Ethan Waller and lock Justin Clegg have been named amongst the replacements due to player welfare reasons, during what is a demanding run of nine consecutive Premiership matches.

Billy Searle is out due to a lacerated thigh muscle which is sustained in the defeat last weekend to Exeter Chiefs, so Scotland's Duncan Weir will start at fly-half this week against Tigers.

With Hill being removed from the back-row, Cornell du Preez gets a start at number eight, with Marco Mama moving to blindside flanker.

In the front-row, experienced loosehead prop Marc Thomas will make his first start in the Premiership since he joined Worcester, replacing Waller.

Scrum-half Gareth Simpson also gets a first start in the league in place of Hougaard whilst Anton Bresler will renew his second row partnership with Graham Kitchener.

And this is how the Leicester Tigers line-up for Saturday's clash.
