GLOUCESTER Rugby and England scrum-half Willi Heniz is set to swap Kingsholm Stadium for Sixways, it has been reported today.

The 35-year old New Zealand born has another season on his contract after this current campaign but a release clause is said to have been triggered by Worcester.

Warriors have already signed scrum-half Will Chudley from Bath ahead of the 2021/22 season and he will join a group of four in his position in the summer.

But the move, should it come off, would most likely bring an end to Francois Hougaard's time at Worcester, with the 32-year old rumoured to be returning home to South Africa when his contract comes to an end this summer.

Scrum halves Michael Heaney and Gareth Simpson have both seen Premiership minutes of late but one of those will be looking at this situation and wondering where their game time will come from.

Jono Kitto is another number nine still at the club but his contract will come to a conclusion in the summer also.

The Rugby Paper had some news of a potential move out of Sixways, with Nick David being linked to Premiership rivals Harlequins.

Quins have supposedly "landed" the young winger but that was all the snippet really said but a worrying one, as David has been one of Worcester's stand out performers this season.

And finally, it looks like the all but confirmed signing of Scott Baldwin, Quins hooker, is now not going ahead as the former Welsh international seems to be staying at The Stoop.
