WORCESTER Warriors' Scott van Breda will join Greene King IPA Championship side Jersey Reds on a permanent basis this summer.

The utility back, who can play fly-half, centre or full-back, has spent the last two months with the championship outfit on loan and has enjoyed a successful stint with his former club.

Van Breda scored a try and was involved in another during the win over Hartpury last weekend and his performances have earned him a deal with the club whom he played for back in the 2017/18 season.

Having been signed by Worcester back in the summer of 2018 but has struggled to cement a place in the first team, making just 18 appearances in three years.

His talent has always been evident and he especially stood out in the Cavaliers side but this move looks to be one that will benefit both parties, especially with the quality and strength in depth Warriors have in the back-line.

Director of rugby Alan Solomons said: “Scott has really enjoyed his time in Jersey and I am pleased to see him rejoining them next season on a permanent basis.

“We would like to thank Scott for his service to Warriors over the last three seasons and we wish him all the best in his new venture.

“He has been a good team man and will always be welcome here at Sixways.”
