WORCESTER City boss Tim Harris has announced his first signing as manager with former Hereford FC and Tamworth defender Louis Ezewele joining the club for the new season.

Harris has worked with the former Wolves academy man at both Redditch United and Tamworth during his brief spells in charge with the two clubs.

The 24-year-old has been unfortunate with injuries in his still young career and Harris believes he has much more to give.

"I’ve known Louis from his time at Tamworth, he’s been really unlucky with injuries that has curtailed his progress," he said.

"Louis is a very good character, he will add experience from playing at a higher level, a solid defender who can also play in a deep lying midfield role.

"He is really committed to the cause here and has a great attitude. But when I came to Worcester, I spoke to him and told him about the size of the club and the potential that is here and he was keen to get involved."
