Real Racing have been back on track at Donnington Park with FSRA and NG racing, for the second round of the British Championship.

After an engine problem prevented them racing at Brands Hatch earlier in the season, the refreshed motor was proving strong and the team were keen to get out.

Driver Wayne Lockey from Moreton and passenger Mark Sayers from Leeds had a difficult qualifying session with some suspension issues on a wet track, making handling a real problem and meant they could only manage a 21st place finish.

They were placed in row 11 for the first race among a grid of 28 teams and a good start on a now dry track saw the team move up through the grid and settle mid pack. They eventually finished in11th place.

Looking to build on the strong first race showing, Wayne and Mark had a good start to the second race and progressed through the pack.

Despite being caught up in some traffic and stuck in a group all with the same average lap time, Real Racing improved a couple of place from the first race to come 9th.

A good weekend on the whole and move forward to the next race at Mallory Park in July.

They are entering the FSRA British Championship race and the EMRA club races too for the extra track time and to support the local club.
