THE FA have announced the promotion and relegation format for non-league football between Steps 1-6.
At Step 5, where Worcester City and Malvern Town play, each division will see the top side promoted and the team that finishes second will face the side that finishes 3rd or 4th bottom (depending on how many teams are in the division above) away from home from Step 4 in a one-legged play-off.
Relegation will be the bottom two teams, automatically.
As for Worcester Raiders at Step 6, first place will gain automatic promotion and the second promoted team will be decided through a four team play-off (like they do in the Football League).
The same process will be in place for Step 3 (Alvechurch, Redditch United, Bromsgrove Sporting, Evesham United), with two relegated automatically.
