SEVERAL Worcester City teams remain in County Cup finals this month but the club is also focusing attention on the upcoming 2021/22 campaign.

With football, at all levels, hopefully returning as normal next season, City Youth are looking to recruit the next Worcestershire footballing stars.

The club will host a trial weekend for new players for its boys and girls teams at Claines Lane on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July (next season’s age groups shown):

Saturday 3rd July

Sunday 4th July

City intends to field boys' sides in leagues at every age group from Under 7s to Under 18s as it strengthens its player pathway from the foundation stage through to the first team – the majority of which will play in the Nerf Junior Premier League. City is also looking for players for its Midland Floodlit Youth League and Midland Football League Reserve sides, who are being invited to trial on the Sunday.

Next season, there will also be boys' teams in the Mercian Football League (U11 and U13) plus the Stourport & District Youth Football League (U10).

The club also has ambitions to expand its girls' section in the coming seasons. A trio of Under 11 and Under 13 teams will be competing in the Mercian Football League and they will welcome prospective new players to their trial on Saturday morning.

To assist with its growth, Worcester City Youth is also looking for managers and coaches for its new Under 18, Under 11 and Under 7 squads.
