A SMALL crowd of football fans gathered in the city centre to celebrate England's win against Croatia on Sunday (June 13).

A video sent to the Worcester News ,showed fans celebrating together in The Cross . The group, of around 30, were cheering and waving England's flags after the team won their first game as part of the Euro 2020.

The good natured crowd shouted football chants and clapped in victory at England winning one nil against Croatia.

The match was long awaited after the tournament was cancelled last year due to the pandemic. Raheem Sterling scored the goal two days after receiving his award in the Queen's birthday honours.

It is the 16th European Championship organized by the Union of European Football Associations. The games will be held across the continent for the first time in the competition's 60-year history, with 11 host cities in all. The tournament, which started on Friday (June 9), will be going on till July 11.
