DEAR Editor – Why did the FA and England players adopt the divisive gesture of taking the knee?

It is clear that this shows support for the Marxist revolutionary Black Lives Matter in which anti-racism is a ‘transitional demand-a campaign tactic to win support.

Perhaps they did not fully understand the nature of this American import. But surely they do now.

There are plenty of alternative demonstrations of anti-racism and solidarity which they could choose: for example, linking arms.

The ‘Kick It Out’ campaign enjoys broad-based support and suffers no controversy or objection.

There is no shame in admitting a mistake and bringing the division to an end now.
