WORCESTER Warriors' fly-half/full-back Jamie Shillcock has extended his contract at Sixways until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Shillcock, 23, signed a new one-year deal back in March to see him through to the conclusion of the 2021/22 season but his superb form towards the latter stages of the 2020/21 campaign has seen him offered a further two years.

The Three Pears Academy product has been with the club since 2015 when he made his debut and has often been used in a variety of positions, including scrum-half, fly-half and full-back.

Consistent game time has always been an issue for Shillcock during his time at the club but this season has seen him go from a squad player to one of the first names on the teamsheet.

With the season ending injury to regular full-back Melani Nanai in January, Shilly, as he is known, has stepped up to the plate and stood out from the rest.

The solo try against Sale Sharks (pictured) back in April was a stand-out moment in what has been, arguably, his best season in a Worcester shirt.

“I am delighted to commit myself to the club to the end of the 2023/24 season,” Shillcock said.

“Although last season was disappointing from a results perspective, I was pleased with the way that I finished the season and got regular game time.

“We have made some exciting signings for next season and I am sure that they, coupled with the young homegrown talent we have here, will help us push for a top six place.”
