WORCESTER City's promising youth duo of Cameron Monteith and Jake Whitehouse have been promoted to the first team for the 2021/22 campaign.
The pair have both been involved in the pre-season games with Cheltenham Saracens, Leamington FC and last weekend's defeat at home to Evesham United.
Manager Tim Harris has vowed to give all young players involved in the youth setup a chance to impress and earn a place in the team for the upcoming season and now he has made the decision to include midfielder Monteith and centre-half Whitehouse.
He said: "I have been monitoring our youth and reserves sides since I arrived and they have some very promising young players.
"If they are good enough they are old enough someone once said and I am delighted to see a couple progress into the first team squad and there are a few more that may have an opportunity soon.
"The hard work starts now for these youngsters to establish themselves in the team as we look to progress"
