FORMER Worcester City manager John Snape has left his role as assistant manager at Halesowen Town.

Snape joined the Yeltz in 2019 to be Paul Smith’s right-hand man after leaving his role as City boss 24 hours earlier.

A statement from Halesowen Town said Snape was moving abroad due to “work commitments”.

He enjoyed a successful playing career in the 90’s with the Yeltz, scoring 25 goals in 283 appearances for the club.

Snape’s time with Halesowen will be most fondly remembered for the run to the FA Trophy semi-finals in the 2019/20 season.
