CITY have re-signed a fans favourite ahead of this weekend's double header.

The club announced they have re-signed Demetri Brown on dual registration terms from Bromsgrove Sporting.

He is available straight away for this weekend's games against Wolverhampton Casuals on Saturday and Lye Town on Bank Holiday Monday for a short-term period to help with Dan Westwood's recovery.

Westwood has been struggling with a niggling groin injury and with no game last week, the club took the view that an additional week's rest would help him.

City manager Tim Harris said: "I am absolutely delighted Demetri has arrived back at a very appropriate time, hopefully it will prove very beneficial to all parties."

News of an arrival also brings news of a departure.

Josh Willis has this week joined Coventry Sphinx and all from the Club wish him all the best moving forward as he seeks regular game time.

City will be looking to extend their unbeaten start to the season and to convert the draws so far into a win.

The club's last outing ended in a 1-1 draw at home to Highgate United who equalised with the last kick of the game, with Archie Muirhead scoring City's first and his third in three games (including FA Cup).

Saturday's opponents currently sit at the bottom of the table with two defeats in their opening two games including a 6-1 defeat at Shifnal Town in their last outing.

Lye Town make the trip to Claines Lane on Monday for a Bank Holiday clash.

Kick off is at 3pm. For more information, go to www.worcestercityfc.org
