WORCESTER Raiders have revealed their brand new logo this afternoon.

The new red, yellow and black badge has been designed by Worcester Warriors' Creative and Brand Executive Nick Baker and combines elements of Raiders’ previous badge with a modern and more simplified design.

The aim behind the change is in part due to wanting to make the Raiders’ badge more "easily recognisable and also give it a fresh look and feel" whilst also avoiding a clash with the Las Vegas Raider’s logo, which you can see here, is almost identical to the Sixways-based side.

“The word Raiders reflects toughness, grittiness and commitment till the end,” Baker said.

“After looking at the original logo, it appeared rather dated and was too similar to the Las Vegas Raider’s logo, so I decided to use a new typeface, the primary colours of red and yellow to make the logo more vibrant.

“I also took away the stars, outer emblem, established date and green colour away because a minimal approach is easier on the eye for the fans.”

The now Sixways-based Step 6 club, who now compete in the Hellenic League Division One, currently sit sixth in the league with five wins in their seven matches.
