Worcester City have today confirmed the arrival of Bekir Halil.

The midfielder rejoins the club having featured briefly under John Snape and Lee Hughes during the 2017/18 season.

Since then he has played for Romulus and Lye Town.

Manager Tim Harris said of his new signing: "You only have to look at the squad and we needed some more experience.

"I certainly liked what I saw of Beks something different to what we have.

"He performed very well against us when we lost to Lye Town earlier in the campaign."

Halil has been training at Claines Lane for a short while as he recovered from an injury.

Following the announcement of Fortune Maphosa's departure to AFC Telford earlier today, paired with injuries and the suspension of Aaron Roberts, the signing comes as a much-needed boost for Harris' side.

Halil is able to play in a number of positions and will be available for selection in tomorrow's match against Whitchurch Alport.
