KYE Simpson's 90th minute winner plunged a dagger into the heart of Evesham United as Mangotsfield pinched all three points in a dramatic Southern League Division One clash.

Two goals inside three second-half minutes from hat-trick hero Simpson flipped the game on it's head after Evesham's Michael Symons put the visitors ahead early on.

But with just over ten to play, an own-goal from Mangotsfield's Daniel Mcbeam looked to have salvaged a point for the Robins.

However, Simpson had other ideas and in injury time, popped in his third and the winner to leave Evesham empty handed.

It was the perfect start for The Robins when striker Symons slotted home from ten yards and despite plenty of possession for the hosts, Evesham stood firm to lead 1-0 at half-time.

The game sprung into life just after the hour mark when Simpson first capitalised on a defensive error to score before he showed good control in the box to slide home to make it 2-1 two minutes later.

The Robins pushed for the leveller and got it in the 77th minute when an inswinging corner was deflected into the net via Mangotsfield's McBeam.

Evesham had gone three league games without defeat before facing second-bottom Mangotsfield but instead of a gritty point on the road, it ended up being a crushing defeat as Simpson made it 3-2 following his close range finish with time running out.

The Robins are back on the road next week when they face Larkhall Athletic (Wednesday 24 November).
