Wing Alex Hearle returns to the side for the opening European Challenge Cup match against Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park on Friday (kick-off 8.00pm).

Hearle suffered a dead leg when Warriors drew 24-24 at Kingston Park in the Gallagher Premiership two weeks ago and missed last week’s one point win over Wasps at Sixways.

But he has regained fitness and returns on the right wing as one eight changes to the side that faced Wasps.

Oli Morris will partner Francois Venter in the centre as Ashley Beck sustained a groin injury last week.

Billy Searle and Will Chudley form a new half-back combination with Chudley starting at scrum-half in place of Gareth Simpson who aggravated a rib injury against Wasps.

Scotland international loosehead prop Rory Sutherland has been ruled out by a dead leg so Ethan Waller starts with Kai Owen on the bench as back-up.

Jay Tyack starts on the tighthead with Joe Batley and Andrew Kitchener coming into the second row with Matt Garvey ruled out after he took a knock to the head against Wasps.

Harri Doel has recovered from the head injury he suffered in the Premiership Rugby Cup match against Bristol Bears and has been named among the replacements.

Three Pears Warriors Academy scrum-half Ollie Wynn is in line to make his European debut off the bench having impressed when he made his senior bow as a replacement in the cup match against Bristol.
