WORCESTER Warriors have received a timely boost ahead of their Gallagher Premiership clash with Northampton Saints at Sixways on Saturday.

Welsh utility back Owen Williams will return to action this weekend after almost four months out when Saints come to town as Worcester play their first home league game of 2022.

Williams, who was signed from Japanese side Red Hurricanes in the summer, tore his hamstring at the start of October during the 23-31 defeat to Gloucester in Round 3.

But Steve Diamond confirmed that the former Leicester Tiger and Scarlets fly-half/centre will make his comeback on Saturday.

But the new man in charge at Worcester did also reveal that Willi Heinz and Ollie Lawrence are both still three to four weeks away from being in contention.

Lawrence has been out since the win over Sale Sharks in November with an Achilles issue whilst former England scrum-half Heinz has not featured since pulling out of the side that lost at Northampton by 66-10 in late October due to a calf strain.
