THERE are positive signs that Worcester City's Bobbie Dale could yet feature for the club this season as he looks to return to training after a double leg break in the summer.

Having been signed by manager Tim Harris before pre-season, the talented forward suffered the horrendous injury during a friendly with Leamington FC.

Dale, who Harris took on loan whilst in charge of Gloucester City from Cheltenham Town, has been talked up by many for a number of years but injury problems had seen his career hampered before the move to Worcester.

Despite the issues, Dale is now feeling positive about his current status.

"After a long 7 months, I am finally starting to see some good progress," he said.

"The next step is surgery this week to remove the screws and hopefully I will be back in training shortly. Fingers crossed you will see me on the pitch before the end of the season".

Boss Harris added: "To say it was a blow is a massive understatement, I've known Bobbie for a good number of years and had the privilege in managing him previously.

"He would add so much to this young squad of players and the frustrating thing for him and myself is we both know he would have been among the league's top goalscorers.

"There is certainly light at the end of the tunnel though."
