SIXWAYS Stadium will host another finals day this year as the Allianz Premier 15s competition will come to an exciting conclusion at the home of Worcester Warriors this summer.

After the news that the BUCS Super Rugby Finals Day will be held at Sixways next month, Worcester will be the centre of attention once more as the 2022 Allianz Premier 15s Champions will be crowned on Friday June 3.

It will be the first time that the showpiece event has been staged at Sixways and follows the highly successful staging of the England v USA Women’s international at the stadium in November, which attracted a bumper crowd of 7,515.

"We are delighted to be hosting the Allianz Premier 15s final at Sixways Stadium, an occasion which promises to be a thrilling climax to the campaign," said Warriors Managing Director Peter Kelly.

"Sixways played host to the Red Roses last November when they took on USA Eagles in front of a big crowd, so there is an appetite for top level women’s rugby, and we can’t wait for the showpiece event."

The top four teams at the end of the regular Allianz Premier 15s will progress to the semi-finals, which will be played on the weekend of May 21-22 with the final following just under a fortnight later.

Warriors Women Director of Rugby Jo Yapp said: "It’s great that Sixways has been chosen as the host venue for the final, building on the success of the Red Roses international last autumn.

"The Allianz Premier 15s has been the most competitive to date and I’m sure the local community as well as supporters from both finalists will get behind such a memorable occasion."
