Warriors Women have tied down three academy graduates for the foreseeable future.

The club’s Centre of Excellence has produced the goods yet again with three of four new signings coming through the internal pathway.

Catherine Wells, Leah Brough, Evelyn Clarke all signed senior terms with the Allianz Premier 15s.

As has Tori Sellors, who will be joining the University of Worcester next season.

Warriors Women Director of Rugby Jo Yapp said: “Benny Williams’ role as Head of Women’s Development has been crucial for bringing our younger players through to the senior team.

“We have a number of talented players on our Centre of Excellence programme and having introduced Catherine, Leah, Evelyn and Tori to our skills sessions, we made the decision to sign them for the rest of the season.

“It fitted in well with our plans and we’re excited to see their progress in the coming months.”

Wells, who plays prop, progressed through the Warriors’ Centre of Excellence programme whilst also representing Barkers’ Butts and Warwickshire County.

Bringing an abrasive ball-carrying game, Wells will have the likes of England legend Laura Keates to look to for advice as she looks to make the jump into the first team.

Brough, an England U18 centre, injects pace and a clinical edge to the backline, while Clarke can play anywhere across the back three.

Both women came through the ranks of Worcester RFC, underlining the strong links between the two Worcester clubs.

Meanwhile, Sellors will be joining the University of Worcester next season.

The former flanker now playing at scrum-half came off the bench for England u18s during their 38-7 victory over Scotland in Darlington last weekend.
