WORCESTER City boss Tim Harris has welcomed the return of midfielder Chris Withington to Worcester City after four months away in the USA.

The popular fan-favourite "Witto" has been a regular in the middle for Worcester during his time with the club and when news broke of his departure back in January, Harris was "gutted" to lose him.

But following the completion of his work trip across the pond, Withington was seen warming-up before City's 1-1 draw with Stourport Swifts and after the game, Harris confirmed he would be back playing in the blue and white again.

"Fantastic! It's great to have him back," added Harris.

"He is a great character.

"We have a good squad and Chris will add to that. He is a tenacious player and you know he will always give 100% and it's pleasing to see him back from his trip abroad.

"Absolutely he will get some games now to finish the season and it's a good chance for him and a few others to really keep us focussed and keep us winning football matches."
