BEN Tilbury has become the latest player of last season's Worcester City squad to sign up for the 2022/23 season.

The versatile holding midfielder was brought in by manager Tim Harris half-way through the 2021/22 campaign and went on to establish himself as a regular, playing 17 games in the latter stages of the season.

Tilbury has settled straight back into the side having been a City player back in the 2016-17 season when they were still in the National League North.

And now the former Stourport midfielder has a full season ahead of him after agreeing to another one-year deal.

"He has shown tremendous potential since joining from near neighbours Stourport Swifts," said boss Harris.

"He is adaptable and he looks equally at home in several positions.

"Ben has shown a great level of all round ability, but there is much more to come from this very talented individual if he really works hard at his game. We are looking forward to working with Ben to bring out the very best in him."

Tilbury added: "I am very happy to be here at Worcester City for another season. I can’t wait to get started and to be playing in front of the fans again!"
