WORCESTER City's star winger Bailey Fuller has been offered an opportunity to impress with National League North side Leamington FC in pre-season.

The City winger was the top scorer last season with 16 goals and he also provided eight assists in 27 appearances after joining from local rivals Stourport Swifts back in September of last year.

But after conversations between both City boss Tim Harris and Leamington's manager Paul Holleran, it has been agreed that Fuller will join The Brakes for their pre-season.

Leamington, who finished 15th in the National League North table last season, will then make a decision on whether or not to sign the City man on a permanent basis.

"From a personal point of view I would not stand in the way of a player progressing if I feel it is right," said Harris.

"I am pleased someone of Bailey's talent has been noticed at this level and after a conversation with him it’s important he looks at this seriously if he wants to progress in the game.

"Leamington Manager Paul Holleran is someone I have had many battles with over the years and have the upmost respect for, Paul and Leamington have been excellent in taking players from lower leagues and providing a platform to move forward.

"Whilst we will be disappointed if this does work out, I think the quality of the squad we have assembled will still be strong enough to compete at the top end of our league this season. We would also of course be delighted if Bailey returned to help us make a challenge this season."
