Pershore Town have signed young prospect Leo Pinches from Worcester City after a successful trial period with the club.

Pinches, who played 15 times for City's Reserves last season, had been training with Danny Janes' side this summer and has been involved in the two games already played by the Plums this summer.

"Leo is a player that was recommended by our Under 18’s manager Mike Bishop," said Janes.

"We invited him to training with us and he equipped himself really well. He is still so young, I admire his confidence because a lot of players at that age can be quiet and passive when they first train, but he settled in quickly and really added to the environment.

"Leo has great potential as a player, we feel he is in the best possible surroundings to develop as a player, our aim is to facilitate his progress and to give him an insight with a team who are challenging to win trophies.

"I look forward to seeing Leo further over the coming months, we are really pleased with his acquisition."

After progressing quickly from Youth football, Pinches is thankful for the opportunity to join Pershore Town and insists the environment has been a welcoming one.

"After being given a great opportunity by Danny (Janes) to join this very driven and capable Pershore Town team, I simply cannot wait to get started." said Pinches.

"Just a few pre-season sessions in, I felt very welcome and knew this is where I feel I wanted to play my football this season, I also feel it is the challenge I need to push myself even further.

"Following last years successes for the club, I think the only way is up and I can't wait to get started now and hopefully help to bring even more success and silverware back to Pershore Town."
