TIM Harris will return to the dugout this weekend as stand-in manager for Worcester City's Midland Football League Premier clash at Studley.

Harris, who resigned back in September after 18 months in charge, has since been appointed head of football at the club but after caretaker boss Stewart Watkins' period in charge came to an end on Tuesday, Harris will step in on Saturday.

It will be the first time Harris has led the side since resigning following the winless start to the 2022/23 league campaign.

The club have stated they are close to being able to confirm their new permanent boss but have decided to delay until the Studley game is out the way.

There are still no suggestions as to who it may be, although some rumours suggesting former City striker Mark Owen and ex-Highgate boss Simon Johnson were in the frame have since been dampened.

City come into the clash with some new-found confidence after their 2-1 win over Racing Club Warwick on Tuesday night at Claines Lane.

The hosts came from 1-0 down early in the first-half to pick up a first win in the league since October 1, ending a run of five straight defeats in the process.
