MALVERN Town will be out for revenge this weekend when they welcome Wantage Town to the HDAnywhere Community Stadium.

A free-scoring Malvern side have only lost twice in the Hellenic League Premier and one of those games was to this weekend's opponents, Wantage.

The Hillsiders slipped to a 2-0 defeat back in October, a loss at the time that actually ended a run of eight straight victories.

Malvern have since won every match in the league (four in a row) and remain one point behind the league leaders Cribbs.

Town have scored 18 goals in those four games and are firing on all cylinders in attack, something that co-manager Stephen Cleal has been very impressed with.

But he also has his mind set on revenge this weekend.

"We’re keen to make amends for that set-back," said Cleal.

"But overall it’s great to see how clinical we have been in the final third over these past couple of games with the goals being shared around the team.

"It’s also nice to be able to bring so much quality off the substitutes’ bench and this strength in depth brings its own headaches as we look to keep everyone happy and get the necessary minutes into the lads.

"Thankfully we have a good group here and they have all bought into what we are trying to achieve. We’ve got good momentum and everyone is playing their part and making a contribution.

"We are happy with the way in which things are progressing; we’re working hard, reaching high standards and not getting too ahead of ourselves."
