Both Malvern Town and Evesham United are in early 2023 action on Monday as they look to maintain their pushes for promotion.

Malvern currently lead the Hellenic Premier and are in pole position to go up into Step 4.

They begin their busy January schedule with a trip to Royal Wooton Bassett Town this afternoon, looking to potentially extend their three point lead on second-placed Cribbs

Bassett have only won once in their last seven league games but have drawn with Worcester Raiders in that period and only lost by the solitary goal when they travelled to Malvern earlier in the season.

As for Evesham, they are outside of the Southern league Division One play-off places by just a single point ahead of their short trip to relegation threatened Bishops Cleeve.

The Robins drew 0-0 in their Boxing Day clash with Cinderford Town in what manager Mike Ford described as the 'worst performance of the season'.

But the team will be hoping to respond to that performance and potentially moving back into the play-off places.
