WORCESTER Warriors Women return home to Sixways this afternoon as they look to start the new year as they mean to go on.

Despite all of the uncertainty around the rugby club, the women's side will at least continue in the Allianz Premier 15s for the remainder of this season and they start 2023 with a derby against Gloucester-Hartpury.

It's a daunting prospect for Jo Yapp's side with their visitors unbeaten in the league having won all five of their matches so far.

Four of those have come with a bonus-point and they come into the clash having already comprehensively beaten Worcester in the Allianz Cup back in October.

In terms of team news, Worcester make a number of changes from the side that thrashed Wasps 50-0 before Christmas.

Two of those come in the forwards with lock Elizabeth Shermer replacing Amelia Buckland-Hurry and Welsh international Sioned Harries coming in for Jo Brown.

In the backs there is a change at 9 and 10 as Caity Mattinson and Abi Kershaw are recalled to the starting 15.

Winger Deborah Wills is also back in the side for Lowri Norkett, Vicky Laflin switches to full-back and Carys Cox takes her place in the centres.
