AS the games count down towards the end of the season, there is still plenty to play for in the Hellenic League divisions for the Worcestershire clubs.

Starting with Premier league leaders Malvern Town, they are back in action on Saturday with a trip to third-bottom Thornbury Town. The Hillsiders will be big favourites to continue their impressive recent form, that has seen them win their last four in the division.

They have a two-point lead over Cribbs at the summit, but have played two games more so have to keep winning matches to keep the pressure on. Cribbs host Fairford Town at the same time.

As for Worcester Raiders, their season has taken a turn for the worse in recent weeks. Karl Gormley's men have lost three of their last four which has put an end to their chances of promotion.

They have slipped down to fourth in the standings but host second-bottom Chipping Sodbury Town on Saturday, where they will be much fancied for a return to winning ways.

As for Pershore Town in Division One, they are very much in a title race as it stands. The league leaders host Kidlington Reserves on Saturday, looking to keep their noses in front at the top.

They are currently five points clear of second-placed Hartpury University, who have played a game more, but only eight clear of Milton United in third, who have played two games less than Danny Janes' side.

So Milton and Hartpury are still replying on Pershore slipping up, meaning the league title is still in the hands of The Plums, who reached the Wiseman Lighting Floodlit Cup final on Wednesday night.

Milton travel to Long Credon on Saturday, whilst Hartpury go to Shortwood United this evening (Friday).
