FOR the second time in a month, relegation rivals Wolverhampton Casuals came from behind to beat Worcester City in the Midland Football League Premier.

Dylan Hart's penalty in the 70th minute gave the visitors the lead but City conceded almost immediately when Eshan Greer lobbed keeper Haydn Whitcombe.

And just like they did in the game at Claines Lane in February, Cassies completed the comeback within five minutes of going behind when Isai Marselia turned in a low cross at the near post.

Worcester boss Chris Cornes said a win would have sealed their survival in the MFL Premier, but the defeat keeps his side in the conversation as their search for consistency goes on.

It was a lively start from the hosts as Musa Ceesay fired over the bar from the edge of the area inside the opening 60 seconds.

But otherwise it was a cagey first-half of few chances. Hart, returning to the starting line-up for City, headed over before Ceesay lashed a strike over once again.

The visitors had their best chance of the half in the 22nd minute. A ricochet allowed striker Hart to run clear of the Cassies' defence, but a bobble before he took his shot saw the opportunity pass.

Reiss Taylor-Randle worked room for a shot on goal but a deflection took it behind for a corner as City struggled to create clear-cut opportunities.

Just as the half was coming to a close, City had a real scare. Louis Lake was left free at the back-post and he was able to bring the ball under control before Whitcombe made a smart save down at his left and Marvellous Onabirekhanlen was there to clear.

Whitcombe then produced another save to deny Marselia as Cassies ended the half on top, but the scores remained locked at 0-0 at the break.

Both sides pushed for a winner and Elliot Hartley came close to breaking the deadlock when his cross beat everyone before clipping the top of the crossbar.

Then came City's opportunity to get the all-important opener. A handball in the Cassies box was spotted by the referee and up stepped Hart to power home the penalty and make it 1-0.

But the joy did not last long as a hopeful ball forward was met by Greer, who was able to lob the ball over keeper Whitcombe via a deflection off defender Dan Okojie.

And then, just as it happened at Claines in February, Cassies came from behind to lead all in the space of five minutes when Marselia flicked home the winner at the near post in the 76th minute.

And City were unable to recover from a chaotic spell and suffered an 18th defeat of the season. The result sees them remain in 16th place and still seven points clear of the relegation zone.
