WORCESTER boxer Owen Cooper maintained his unbeaten professional record last weekend with a second-round stoppage of Colombian Eber Tobar in Telford.

Cooper, promoted by Frank Warren, connected with a decisive left-hook in the second-round to win by TKO in front of the BT Sport cameras.

The 22-year-old from Worcester has now won all eight of his fights as a professional and says bigger things are to come.

"A big thank you to everyone that has messaged me as well, every one of your messages are noticed and mean a lot.

"Last night (Friday) we got another win under our belt with a second-round TKO moving to 8-0 and are hoping to have some big news on the way for next fight so keep your eyes peeled.

"A huge thank you to my coaches Malcolm Melvin and Darren Hunter for the silly amount of hours behind the scenes they put in to help me become the best I can be and thank you to my management Errol Johnson BCB Promotions and promoter Frank Warren for giving me the chance to fight on such a great show.

"Finally thank you to my sponsors that make being a professional boxer that bit easier. Without you guys, it wouldn’t be possible."
