A LOCAL football side have completed the cup and league double to cap off a memorable season.
The Nunnery Wood Colts Hornets Under 14's won both the 2022/23 Mercian League and the Wayne Philpotts Memorial Cup.
Nunnery Wood beat Pershore Town 2-0 in the cup final to secure the first half of their impressive double.
Four weeks later, the Hornets beat Worcester City 3-1 and Pershore Town 3-2 in the same week to secure the under 14's league title for the second year in a row.
Manager Eamonn Dunne said: "I am so proud of the lads. We started the team from our Development Center at under 7's and nearly all of the players that started with us are still playing now and this recent success has been due to hard work and commitment."
