WORCESTER Raiders have hit top spot in the Hellenic League Premier after they breezed past Hereford Pegasus 4-0.

Jade Ferron scored one and set up another as Raiders produced a rampant first-half display to lead 3-0 at the break.

Right-back Ferron opened the scoring when intercepting a pass as Pegasus looked to play their way out from the back, before Rich Smith profited from a sublime outside-of-the-boot assist from Isaac Cooper to make it two.

The impressive Ferron then turned provider as his cross found the feet of Bailey Fuller inside the Pegasus box, who finished coolly to add a third. Vanylson da Costa Silva then scored in stoppage time at the end of the game to round off a terrific performance from Karl Gormley's side.

The 4-0 win sees Raiders go top of the table after three games, with seven points and still yet to concede a goal.

"We have struggled against Pegasus in recent years so to come to a tough place like this and put a performance in like that, it's really pleasing," said manager Gormley.

"I thought we dominated from the outset and we got our goals nice and early to help us take control of the game.

"We made four or five changes in the second-half which made the game a little stop-start but I thought we were in total control of the game from start to finish."
