THE Worcestershire Rapids will make the trip to the Ageas Bowl to take on Hampshire in the quarter-final of the Metro Bank One Day Cup.

The Rapids finished the group stages with six wins from eight, securing themselves a spot in the knockout stages of the competition at the same ground where they were thumped by Hampshire in the T20 Blast quarter-final.

Worcestershire had to wait until the final round of matches to take place on Tuesday to discover their opponents, and after their three-wicket win over Kent, Hampshire finished second in Group A, giving them a last-eight tie at home with the Rapids.

The match will take place on Sunday, August 27 at 11AM. Tickets can be purchased here.

Hampshire won seven of their eight matches in the tournament and only missed out on finishing top of the table via net run rate.

The winner of the game between Worcestershire and Hampshire will play Warwickshire in the semi-finals, who topped the Group B table with seven wins from eight.
