WORCESTER Raiders' striker Jordan Murphy has been released from hospital after suffering what has been described as a 'serious neck injury' during their league match with Tuffley Rovers on Tuesday night.
The referee abandoned the contest in stoppage time moments after Tuffley had scored their late equaliser.
Murphy was involved in a collision with a Tuffley player and received immediate medical attention from physios from both teams before being taken to Worcester A & E.
He was held overnight at the hospital but at lunchtime on Wednesday afternoon (August 23) it was confirmed by Raiders that he had been given the all-clear to continue his recovery from home.
Further to this mornings update, we are delighted to confirm that Jordan Murphy has been released from hospital following a serious neck injury and is now recovering at home.

A Raiders statement on Tuesday morning read: "Shortly after Tuffley Rovers' equaliser last night, the game was abandoned in the 7th minute of added time at Sixways due to a very serious injury to Jordan Murphy. It was clear it wasn’t any normal injury situation.
"Everyone at Worcester Raiders would like to extend our thanks to the physio team of Tuffley and of course Jess Garrington, the spearhead of Raiders physio team, who was amazing and kept her cool amongst the chaos.
