DROITWICH Spa are now three points clear at the top of the MFL Division One table after they put five past league strugglers Paget Rangers in a 5-1 victory.
Goals in the first-half from Luke Molloy and Connor Collins put The Saltmen 2-0 up at the break, before second-half goals from James Lemon, Perry Moss and Callum Green wrapped up a convincing win for the home side.
With title rivals Allscott Heath and Hinckley AFC not playing at the weekend, Droitwich had the chance to put a bit of daylight between themselves and their nearest challengers in the Midland Football League Division One title race.
The hosts dominated proceedings from the off and took the lead in the 17th minute when Molloy fired home. Collins then applied the finishing touches at the back post to make it 2-0 just six minutes later.
The visitors managed to contain the league leaders for the remainder of the half, but a mistake from Paget keeper George Barrett after the break all but sealed the win for Droitwich.
Barrett tried to dribble past Collins with the ball after a back pass, but his second touch was too heavy and Lemon was there to capitalise and tap home into an empty net.
Moss stayed cool when latching onto a through ball to slot home and make it 4-0 just after the game moved past the hour mark.
Paget did manage a consolation with 20 to play when Dejon Miles's low cross provided a simple tap in for Tobias Marshall from a couple of yards out, but Droitwich restored their four-goal cushion moments later thanks to Green's close-range header.
