EVESHAM United have secured the signing of prolific non-league goalscorer Aidan Clark for the rest of the season from neighbours Pershore Town.

Clark will make the step up to Step 4 non-league football from Step 5 Pershore after firing The Plums to promotion last season.

The striker scored 31 goals in all competitions for The Plums as they won the Hellenic League Division One title. He also played a part in securing a non-league cup treble the season before, including winning the Worcestershire Senior Cup under manager Danny Janes.

But he has decided toΒ push his career to the next level by joining Mike Ford at The Robins in the Southern League Division One South.

On Twitter, Clark said: "Pershore are a fantastic club with wonderful people both on and off the pitch and behind the scenes, was a hell of a ride. I am now buzzing to get going with Evesham."

Evesham have hit form of late but have otherwise struggled down at the bottom of the table but with Clark's goals, pace and physical presence, he should be able to give Evesham much more of a threat up at the top end of the pitch.

He will more than likely partner former Pershore teammate Levi Steele up top for Ford's side and in those two, Evesham should not be short of goals.

Pershore will no doubt miss their number nine and his goals, but the feeling amongst supporters and fellow players was that this was a more then deserved move.
