WORCESTER City manager Chris Cornes was left "absolutely delighted" as his team lifted their second consecutive county cup.
Worcester City battled with a man disadvantage for the final 30 minutes, to see out a 0-0 draw against Redditch United, before retaining the Worcestershire Senior Cup on penalties.
The win was a record 30th county cup title, and City's second under manager Chris Cornes.
"(I'm) absolutely buzzing," said Cornes after the match. "I’d have liked to have won it in the 100th minute of extra time. But to have won it on penalties, I did say I think we will get to the fourth or fifth then I think Sam (Kane) will pull a save off.
"If he’s going to save one it’s going to be that one isn’t it? I ran about 53 yards and I think I need to go jogging because I ran out of breath, took me a little bit to get my steam back.
"But absolutely delighted, back-to-back winners of that trophy and fantastic."
The win was the latest trophy in a rapidly filling cabinet for City under Cornes, that has included a league title, a play-off final win and multiple cups.
"I’m sick of being in the history books," said Cornes. "100-odd points at step five, back-to-back promotions, I think that probably takes me to the most successful manager in the history of the club but I’m sick of it.
"But if you’ve got to make some history and you’ve got to break a few records, why not be a part of it?
"At the minute these players are leaving legacies behind. Yeah, we haven’t got promoted but we’ve won another cup. For three seasons running we’ve won something and it just keeps you on that crest of a wave and momentum.
"It’s a fantastic result, the players have been absolutely brilliant. To do that the last 20, 30 minutes, 10 minutes added on, everything thrown at us and we stood up strong, and we still had a go at them by the way, and to win on penalties.
"It’s a fantastic all-round result. Hats off to all the players and a massive thank you to the fans."

Do you remember any of these Worcester City players from the 1970s?
Cornes heaped praise on his players after the match, feeling that his much-changed squad from the start of the season would have likely clinched a play-off place had they all been in blue and white at the start of the season.
"We fell short this season and we need to bring in a few to make us better," he said. "But I tell you something if we started with the squad we’ve got now and we started the season again, I honestly think we would be right in that top four or five.
"If we can add a few to that, I think we will be right in the mixer.
"That’s what we’ve got to do in the summer. One more game and then the hard work starts for me."
