EVESHAM United manager Paul West has warned his side against complacency when the Robins visit Clevedon Town tomorrow night (7.45).

Despite only being one point worse off than the Robins in the British Gas Business Premier Division, the Hand Stadium outfit were thrashed 6-1 at Stourbridge on Saturday and will be looking to bounce back.

Evesham have lost just one of their five games and held early pace-setters Farnborough to a 0-0 draw at St George’s Lane on Saturday.

West said: “Clevedon is a different type of challenge. They had a disappointing result at the weekend and we can’t afford to be complacent because the league table is already showing how tough it’s going to be.

“Two wins can get you into the play-offs and two defeats can put you in the relegation zone and I think it’s going to be like that all season.

“It’s a game in which I am sure Clevedon will be wanting to put the record straight and we can’t fall into the trap of being complacent.”

West is hoping Guadeloupe international Ludovic Quistin, a left-sided player, will have completed his one-month loan move from Hednesford in time to make his debut.

Midfielder Danny Scheppell could make a surprise return from a hamstring injury.

Skipper Steve Lutz is struggling with a thigh strain picked up in training last week and defender Anthony Watson has an ankle problem.
