KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Mark Yates will have to brush up on FA Cup opponents Curzon Ashton before they visit.

The Unibond Division One North side stunned League Two side Exeter City in the first round with a 3-2 victory at their modest Tameside Stadium.

Playing in front of 1,200 people didn’t faze the minnows — they usually average 150 people through the gate — so making the trip down the M6 to Aggborough is unlikely to cause them much worry either. They are enjoying their moment in the spotlight but Yates will want his side to put them in the dark come November 29.

Managed by former Hereford United midfielder Gary Lowe and boasting a full Gambia international in James Ogoo, who scored a stunning third and decisive goal against the Grecians, they will be keen for another upset.

“The main thing for us is that it is a home draw,” Yates said. “Any team who beats Exeter are going to be tough so we have to respect them. But we have three league games against Rushden, Wrexham and Oxford before then. That is a our main priority.”

Harriers have reduced the ticket prices for the cup clash. Entrance for terraced areas at Aggborough is £11 for adults, £6 for over 65s and £3 for under 16s, while seated areas are £14, £9 and £6 respectively.
