GEORGIA Howells was a hat-trick heroine as Droitwich Spa Wildcats Girls Under 11s recorded a 5-2 victory over Ferndale Youth in the Mercian Festival Junior League.
Player-of-the-match Howells gave Wildcats an early lead but Rebecca Llewellyn equalised five minutes later with a fine long-range effort.
Lucy Loach soon put Droitwich back in front when she finished clinically from just inside the box and Howells buried a well-struck shot before the interval.
In an end-to-end second period, Howells latched onto an Abbie Wallis pass to complete her hat-trick and, although Llewellyn netted a penalty, Loach rounded off the scoring.
UNDER 15s: Northside Colts were knocked out of the Andy Wardroper Memorial Trophy in the second round after extra-time.
They went down 3-2 to Kidderminster Harriers FITC after going two goals behind inside 20 minutes.
Sam Yapp and Shaun Weaver put Harriers ahead although Josh Pearce pulled one back before half-time.
In a thrilling second period, Colts applied plenty of pressure and finally equalised through Matt Giordani’s half-volley from the edge of the box.
Throughout extra-time, Colts pegged Harriers back but poor finishing and good defending denied them.
With penalties looking likely, Yapp grabbed the winner for Harriers with two minutes left.
UNDER 12s: Warndon Villages Vipers reached the Ron Handy Memorial Shield quarter-finals with a 3-1 win at fellow Division Two side Kempsey Colts.
The goals were scored by Matt Waidson, Pedro Gouvia and Armarni Newman.
UNDER 10s: Warndon Villages Lions maintained their 100 per cent Division Two record with a convincing 4-1 win over second-placed Ombersley Lions.
Villages are three points clear at the top of the table as a result.
UNDER NINES: A brace of goals for Dan Medakovic and Nathan Gaiderman led Leigh and Bransford Badgers Spurs to a 4-0 Division One win at Oldbury Park Tigers.
Spurs’ defenders Jack Wild and Sami Rone kept a vice-like grip on the Tigers’ attack in a goalless first-half.
Spurs eventually went ahead through Medakovic direct from a corner.
Gaiderman hammered in a second from a corner and then netted an individual effort.
Medakovic completed the scoring after Gaiderman’s effort was blocked.
