MARC Pugh has become Hereford United’s latest summer signing after manager John Trewick confirmed he has added the former Shrewsbury Town player on a one-year deal.
After spending a nine-game spell on loan at the Bulls last season, it appears Pugh, 22, managed to convince Trewick about his ability to improve the Hereford squad for the forthcoming season.
Trewick said: “He is a proven player who showed enough last season and can play on the left or right wing and as a striker.”
It seems that Pugh’s versatility, along with his talent, was a deciding factor on Trewick bringing him to Edgar Street. Free agent Pugh started his career at Burnley but failed to make the first team before signing for Kidderminster Harriers on loan in 2005 and then moving onto Bury and Shrewsbury.
