A LONG injury list means Hereford United manager John Trewick will wait until the last minute before naming his team for tonight’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy clash with Aldershot (7.45).

Three defenders who featured in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Dagenham and Redbridge have joined the queue for the treatment room.

Ryan Valentine (groin), Darren Jones (illness) and Darren Dennehy (ankle) are struggling for the Edgar Street clash, leaving Trewick with a defensive crisis as Keith Lowe (hamstring) and Danny Blanchett (ankle) are also doubts.

Midfielders Glen Southam, Jonny Godsmark (both broken hands) and Craig Jones (back) remain sidelined as well as striker Lee Morris (groin).

Trewick said: “We have to wait until a couple of hours before kick-off. It’s just something that needs to be given as much time prior to making any decision on the team.”

Hereford defeated Bristol Rovers on penalties in the first round and will look to build on their League Two performances against Bournemouth and the Daggers.

Meanwhile, Evesham United, who drew 0-0 at Stourbridge on Saturday, host Oxford City at St George’s Lane tonight in the Zamaretto League Premier Division (7.45).
