PERSHORE Hockey Club began their promotion quest in BodyKraft Men’s West Midlands Division Two with a steady 3-1 victory at Kynoch.
The first goal came through a well-worked move down Pershore’s left which was finished off by Gareth Rushton.
But the hosts’ response was quick, a mazy run by a Kynoch player saw the only lapse in the Pershore defence to level.
The second-half was much more of a dominant affair from Pershore.
Steve Ridsdale shot through a crowd of players to put Pershore back ahead and added a decisive third goal with five minutes left.
