STOURPORT Hockey Club's Women made it two games without a loss in Midlands Division One with a 4-1 victory over Leighton Buzzard.

Goals from Erin Preece (2), Liz Cooke and Rene Johnson ensured they secured their first win of the season.

Stourport’s player-of-the-match Kerry Maughan was a constant threat with her quick dribbling skills.

The seconds lost 4-1 to Leamington Firsts in the Midlands Conference South.

The scores had been level at half-time with Caroline Siddell bagging a goal but Leamington replied with three more after the break.

Stourport Thirds beat Old Halesonians 2-0 with Georgia Hingley and Kate Bailey on target in Worcestershire League Division Two.

In Division Three, a mix-up over pitch times saw the fourths awarded a 3-0 win at Bromsgrove Thirds.

Meanwhile, Stourport are still waiting for their first win of the season in the Men’s Conference West after they lost 4-1 to Guildford at Bromsgrove School.

They have gathered just one point from the first three games of the season.

Captain Phil Lashford was on target for Stourport.
