A YOUTHFUL Malvern Town will line up on Saturday when they host Alvechurch in the Aspire Midland Alliance (3pm) after manager Chris Palmer was encouraged by their recent displays.

Defenders Ryan Clarke, Ashley Pardoe, midfielder Conor O’Callaghan and strikers Craig Carter and Mason Mansfield have given Palmer food for thought after starting in the 1-1 draw with Tipton Town on Saturday.

The Langland Stadium boss is happy to continue with the quintet as his side aim to beat third-placed Alvechurch.

Defender Kyle Knott (groin) should return from injury and front-man Andrew Crosskey is back too.

Alex Hards will start in goal as Lewis Skyers is at a training camp with the England blind squad.

Centre-back Craig Brown (groin) is still out.

Palmer said: “It’s encouraging and pleasing to see the youth team players doing well in the first team.

“I will definitely stick with them and they have all done well for us so far.”

Meanwhile, Hereford side Westfields travel to Loughborough University bidding to cement their top 10 place in the Alliance.

Tuesday’s game at Boldmere was called off.
