TERRY Jenkins has been drawn against Paul Nicholson in the first round of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship which starts later this month.

The Ledbury ace, nicknamed the Bull, is one of 32 seeded players who have been paired with 32 qualifiers for the event at London’s Alexandra Palace between December 18 and January 3.

Jenkins is looking for his first win in the competition for three years following successive opening round defeats against Dennis Smith and Kirk Shepherd.

Defending champion Phil Taylor begins his campaign against Colin Monk, while Raymond van Barneveld faces Warren Parry.
