EVESHAM United midfielder Simon Fitter is walking a disciplinary tightrope with boss manager Paul West as he plays his final match before a three-game ban kicks in.

Fitter will begin the suspension after tonight’s Zamaretto League Premier Division clash at Chippenham Town (7.45) following his sending off for dissent at Hednesford Town last month.

But that red card came after the midfielder had already been warned about his petulance by West earlier in December.

“I can take it when players are shown cards for tackles but not when it is for speaking out of turn,” West said.

“Most of the players are fine but Simon and Danny Hodnett need to learn.

“Simon will be dealt with. At the moment though, we have injuries and no games.

“He will have plenty to ponder when he is suspended and I will too.

“But if they are not going to listen to me, then action will have to be taken.”

New midfielder Andy Ducros — Kidderminster Harriers’ record signing — is expected to make his Robins debut at Hardenhuish Park after completing his move from Redditch United.

Meanwhile, Stourport Swifts host Woodford United in Division One Midlands tonight (7.45) as they look to pick up their first win in eight matches.

Westfields host Studley in the Polymac Services League Cup quarter-finals tonight (7.45), weather permitting.

The Hereford side’s home Aspire Midland Alliance match with Coventry Sphinx on Saturday was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
