MIDFIELDER George Clegg strained medial ligaments to his knee last night as Worcester City thumped Broms-grove Rovers 5-0 at St George's Lane.
The 24-year-old was taken for treatment at Worcestershire Royal after hurting his knee in the early stages of the Central Conference fixture.
City fielded a strong side, with Des Lyttle, Les Hines, Shabir Khan and Danny Hodnett forming a back four.
Tom Warmer, Liam McDonald, Jai Stanley and Clegg started in midfield, with Leon Kelly and Jimmi-Lee Jones in attack. Andy Preece, Nick Colley and Rob Warner came off the bench.
Jones and Preece each notched a brace while Stanley scored the pick of the goals with a 25-yard free-kick.
